I grew up in New Jersey before first coming to Duke in 2003 for my undergraduate studies. I graduated from Duke in 2007 with a BSE in Biomedical Engineering and Computer Science. I then returned to New Jersey for graduate school at Rutgers University in the Biomedical Engineering Department, under the supervision of Dr. Prabhas Moghe.  At Rutgers, my work focused on engineering 3-D polymer scaffolds to direct human pluripotent stem cell self-renewal and neuronal specification. I finished my PhD in the spring of 2013, before returning to Duke and joining the Bursac lab as a postdoctoral associate

Outside of work, I enjoy running, golfing, snowboarding, and cooking.
