I grew up in Sichuan, the hometown of panda and hot pot, in the southwest of China. Then I went to Tianjin University for my undergraduate studies in Bioengineering. After that I moved to Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, China Academy of Sciences to pursue my PhD in Dr. Lei Xiao's lab, focus on the pluripotency and differentiation potential of human pluripotent stem cells. I finished my PhD in Jan 2013 and joined Dr. Bursac's lab in Sep 2013. Outside of work, I enjoy cycling, swimming and hiking.
